I'm looking for a source of good tight grained Sitka for braces but in larger pieces than the stewmac sized 20x2x3/4 in sticks. Like maybe 4 ft lengths 6x 4/4 in. Something like that. Does anyone have a source they would like to share? Thanks all Jim M

Most brace wood comes from top billet trimmings, hence the 24" or shorter lengths. You could try contacting Roy Tonewood. http://www.roytonewood.com

One of the OLF Sponsors produces and sells LOTS of bracewood in various sorts of split and sawn, produced from 100% salvage sourced old Growth. alaskawoods.com
