I've got this Explorer on the bench, it took a bump, and a corner has broken off, the binding is holding it on. The angles make for a really challenging clamping situation. Any thoughts?

Make a caul to fit it. Rough saw a piece of wood, then butter it with a layer of freshly mixed bondo. You can wax the guitar or wrap it in saran wrap so the bondo won't stick. Let the bondo cure on the guitar. Now you can shape the caul any way you need to in order to apply clamping pressure.

don’t forget friendly plastic for the cauls. It’s faster to use and reusable. It can be molded in hot water and takes corners really well. Also remember you can use the strap button screw as an anchor if need be. Use the wood table if need be. You can screw anchors into it and fill them with extra bondo or epoxy after the fact. “Where there’s a will, there’s a way” good luck

Yep what Yeaux and Chris said make a mold to fit it in.

Wonder what happened to the other guy/guitar ;)

haha, the real question Hesh is how did a Gibson take a bump significant enough to literally knock the corner off of the body while simultaneously keeping its headstock.
