Pretty sure I have a real 1934 (not a '32) Gibson L-00 on my bench, not the reissue. Not very familiar with these. One of the tuning machines is nearly locked up, and out of my scads of old tuning machine parts - I don't have anything that works. Has anyone else out there got anything, or know where I can source some parts? Thanks.

Little weak on the bottom, but the strings are old.

Those are on a strip right? Do you have a pic of the actual tuners? I'd be happy to have a look through my parts bin.

Thanks. I lubed them a bit, but that A string still worries me. Found some short cracks in the back, which I glued up. Lowered the action a bit. Now for some new strings.

Yep that's the real deal. We've had to make replacement tuning parts in the past for these with the only alternative being replacing the vintage tuners with the Stew-Mac variety that are golden age tuners IIRC and excellent. These are still very much players and it's OK to replace parts if you have to do that to restore functionality. You know all this anyway.

Cool guitar and a personal favorite of mine. They do sound weak in my experience too. We have a client who has two 37's that we keep singing.

This is my favorite burst ever done too, love it.

Had lunch with the client at our fave Vietnamese place, and he was very happy with the tunability and the lowered action. Layed down some sweet blues vibes on it. The old girl sounds real nice. He asked how much, and I said "Nothing!" I was delighted to work on some old stuff instead of the new stuff I usually see. So he paid for lunch, which made for a fine couple hours.
