One of my regular clients brought this guy in.

34 0-18. Bridge has been reset numerous times (my client said it's been done 7 times in the last 3 years). Last guy that worked on it did a less than stellar job and simply tried to fill gaps that were created from pullout on the top with glue (it failed). He had brought it in for another bridge reset because it was peeling off. Real issue is that the bridge plate was replaced (by the previous repair guy) and has now turned into a potato chip, cupped pretty badly.

You can see here where the bridge plate is not making contact with the forward portion behind the x brace.

Biggest issue is that the bridge plate was glued on with frigging titebond and it will not come loose. I have heated it to 275' more than once and it simply will not budge. I don't know what type of titebond was used as I could not get the previous repair guy to pick up his phone.

I had considered removing the back to get at the bridge plate. There's also some small cracks that are in extremely hard to reach areas that need addressing as well. What I do not want to do is pull the plate out and rip the top to shreds.

any ideas?

Some of the water proof titebond types do not release at all below 350 degrees and you or someone else may have already loosened the braces around the area....I would pull the back.

Thanks Brian, wasn't aware that they can handle that much heat.

Back is going to come off next week. Hopefully there's no other gremlins hiding in this one
