Second time this week conchoidal fracture in these crappy poly finishes. One when VERY carefully removing the nut and the other when a fret needed a simple tap and the poly finish at the end of the fret cracked and chipped off.

Ahhhhh! [headinwall] gaah

Thanks for letting me vent...

At least they are relatively easy to fix! But still... Grrrr

And BTW this was on a Hofner Bass and the finish was literally 1/16th inch thick or more.

My Rik clients tell me that too as I charge them a premium for working on expensive junk....
