Resonator all made from the same Ash log harvested from the top of the mountain that John Henry died tunneling under. There were a couple of small holes left by the borers that killed the tree, and I left them in honor of John Henry. The walnut fingerboard and head plate were in my shop for at least 25 years. It's a National body shape and head shape. The soundhole grills are help on with magnets to allow access to the bolt on neck joint and the truss rod. |

Left handed sub bass acoustic guitar. Plays down one octave from standard eadg tuning. Scale length is 35 3/4. I'm using Fender acoustic bass strings 8060. The body is all plywood, 24 1/4" long and 14" wide. Dark walnut Watco oil. Strings sit really high from the fingerboard, but easy to press down. |
