Hi,
I'm new to this forum, and as I don't exactly know where to introduce myself, I will post a couple of pictures of my work.
I am a French amateur luthier, and I have interest in the mandolin family, so here is some of my work :
My F5 :
It is a classical Loar style, after R.Siminoff's plan.

It is KTM-SV finished.

A 100 years old french made Neapolitan style I have restored :

I completely rebuilt it and refinished with true oil.
Had to wedge shim the fretboard to make it playable again.

and my very last build (two weeks ago) :
an "Octave baritone electic mandolin".
I did the plan, adapting the design of a LP 59 burst (I dreamt to have a Les Paul, bus as I am not at all a guitarist ...)

It is a 5 strings, 18 inch scale.
the pickups and hardware comes from Almuse.
KTM SV finished.

I have also a website, where you can see the detailed photo blog for this work.:

I look forward to get your feedback !

cheers,
Christophe

That les paul mando is a beaut! Where did you get the bridge, tailpiece, and pickups for it?

Hi,
I got them entirely custom made according to my specs by Pete Mallinson at Almuse, UK.
This is a nice address to record, he can do pretty whatever you desire for odd projects like that.
