Ok, so this is hopefully going to get me started. The forum has been very helpful in getting me in the "I want to build a guitar" phase. Then the classifieds have me becoming a wood collector. Ha ha. My first build will be following the Gibson J-185 plans as I only have molds for these plans right now. I'm almost done building my bending iron and will post pics when I get that done as well. Most of my materials have been purchased in the classifieds here, so this will be my OLF guitar. Here goes nothing. Well hopefully something.

Best of luck Stephen. I know you must be as excited as I am since you have started your thread already. If you have any questions that I can help with I'll try my best to help you even though you are the enemy

Hope to see you get building soon. Good luck sir

Thanks Zeke. I wish you the best/worst of luck? Ha ha. This should get pretty interesting and probably very entertaining.

So here's a couple of pics of what I'm going to try and not turn in to firewood.

East Indian Rosewood back and sides.
Lutz top.
Curly maple bindings.
Mahogany neck.

If I get brave I may see if Tim McKnight still has some of those fiber sheets and make my own purflings.

Nothing is joined yet, just have the form on top of the back and top to get an idea.

Bought it from a guy in the classifieds. They were originally purchased from John at blues creek guitars though.
