It has begun.

My research over the last few years and some extra encouragement from talented members here has prompted me to start my first F5 builds. It doesn't hurt that I have a couple pre-orders as well.

I have a lot of the easy steps complete. I have collected my woods over the last decade. I have the cases, bindings, bridges tuners, glues...etc. etc... Now all that is left is a few jigs here and there and proper execution.... maybe a little luck.

So far, I have fretboards cut and slotted. I'll be shaping them and hopefully binding them this weekend.
I'll be posting to this thread as I go. There are more pics and comments at: shop blog

One of the fretboards gets solid silver plate inlaid as faux frets. Once the rest of the frets are installed and the binding is in place, it will be scooped.
