I've been thinking about starting my first electric build and I'm looking for some guidance regarding plans and templates.
I really want to build a LP Special Double Cut. I'm talking about the flat -top version with two P-90s. Of course I plan on going with the TV yellow finish!
I remember seeing some plans and masonite templates for this version a while back, but in my recent searches I've come up blank. I can find the LP Jr, the LP special that has one P-90, and the carved top Double cut, but no luck on the two- pickup P-90 version.
Does anyone have any suggestions where I can find some info on building one of these classic guitars.
thanks,Kevin

Just use a normal LP/Special/DC/whatever template and a separate P90 template. You should be able to place the pups on your own and get them where they need to be.

I've never bought a template.

I used a data projector and a pic from the web

project it on the wall, zoom to get the scale length right, then draw round it.

works for me!!
