Hey guys newb here! I'm working on my first build. A Martin OM rosewood laminate kit. I just put the sound box together and binded the guitar. They sent with the kit a white plastic binding. It all looks great but it seems when I sand it that it scratches it. How can I sand or what can I sand with to make it look good? Thanks for the help! - Caleb

Try using a scraper such as a new razor blade.

After you sand the whole box, go back with a razor blade as Mark recommended. You can turn one into a small scraper like so:

That will smooth out the binding nicely.
