Had a crazy idea and was wondering if anyone had tried it. Do you think you could glue the ends of your sides to a sacrificial board and run it through a joined? Then just release the glue with heat or cut them apart? Anyone?

I've seen it done with a thickness planer. I guess it could be done with a joiner, but I would try a scrap first

I'm working walnut that is resistant to my hand planing efforts and I only get to work a bit at a time. Just thought it might speed up the process.
