Thought this may be of some use or interest to someone. Fitted the router by drilling 12 mm and 8 mm holes using the router base as a template, secured the pillars with the 6 mm bolts fitting into the groves in the bottom of the pillars. Basically I was not happy with visibility, or limited plunge depth, using the router's own base fitted to the jig. Also note the bevel added to the cut-out round the router bit - I cut this with a guided cove bit, again to increase visibility around the bit area. |
