As noted in another thread here, sometime ago, I adapted my CNC tool library spreadsheet to create MadCAM tool files. I like being able to see and manage all my tools in a single, simple layout. Jumping around tools in MadCAM to make changes or create new tools can be a bit challenging (pun intended :D ). I cleaned up the file to make it a tad more user friendly and uploaded it to my website. You are welcome to it if you want. Right click on the link below and save it to your local directory:

MadCAM Tool Library

The file contains my tool library and will provide a good reference as to how the spreadsheet is laid out. Either edit my tools or delete them and create your own. The spreadsheet supports all MadCAM tool types. As I have to change tools manually, I don't use the holder, so all values are 1.

The spreadsheet only writes MadCAM tool files. It will not read an existing file and import it back into the spreadsheet.

If you find it of value, let me know. If you have questions, post them here, and I'll respond.

Happy milling!

Ken

Ken, I don't understand this (yet) but thanks for doing it and I am going to be downloading Madcam for a trial soon.

You are welcome, Ken. Yeah, try to hold off in downloading until you have a project to work on, then you can really shake it down. I first downloaded it when I was working on an acoustic neck and worked on it pretty intensively for a few weeks.
