We are building a sort for Resonator instruments. We used to take guitar sets like these and trim them to smaller instrument soundboard products. But what a shame. Here is over 200 years of growth recorded in a board. Top shelf highest quality fiber, with a defect that would be cut out of an otherwise clean guitar top. Here are 2 sets of old growth salvage sourced sitka One is Master Grade non-figured with the teredo hole, from a floatlog that was in the water for several decades. The other is premium Bearclaw with the tine whisker knot from a land salvage, a blow down that was covered with several inches of moss and other trees growing on it and heli-logged out of the forest. Obviously after it was cleaned off and bucked to 7000 pound max, 12' and 14' lengths we could pick.

Perfect use for that wood. I didn't know that teredos left that big a hole!
