Hi guys. Few days ago I stumbled upon this article http://www.belevskiguitars.net/news/johnny_winter_belevski.html, while searching for Johnny Winter's resonators. This guy Belevski claims that he invented a new resonator guitar design - calls it triplate I think. Have you seen anything like this?

Interesting. Looks like a hybrid tricone and spider well design with flat plates instead of cones. Seems to work well in an electric body

Nice, he gives Winter a guitar hoping for an endorsement and he gets, "Don't make sense to me." in response. [xx(]

You bet! This could sort of serve as a lesson to who ever think they can get automatic recognition by giving a guitar to an known artist.

I think I would have acted the same if I had been in Winter's place. The guy coming with the camera and everything, it was, in a quite clumsy way, putting Winter in an awkward position if you ask me.

Why would he put that on his website? Not much of an endorsement.

I agree, Winter didn't want it and it makes for a pretty lame vid to be advertising yourself with.
Looks like he does really nice work but he'd be better off with some sound samples instead.
