WOW!! Just when other classical builders are trying raised fingerboard, along comes one featuring a raised bridge
That is one nasty crash. One thing is that it looks like the top took the majority of the damage so at least it could have been much worse. Did the neck get broken as well? Bummer!! |

I suppose a classical lap-slide guitar is out of the question? It has it's own built in tremelo/wah-wah

Well, It was one I built for the school a couple of years ago. It had been hanging around the shop for a while and had some minor cracks in the back due to lack of humidity. I brought it home to eventually refinish it. It was a great sounding guitar too. I had it hanging up in the shop here and bumped into it and down it came. It was about a 5 foot drop onto a concrete floor. The back is pretty busted up as well but can be repaired. The top will need to be replaced obviously. I guess if you are going to have one get broken this would have been the one as it needed to be refinished anyway. It could have been one of my commissioned guitars and then I would have been singing the blues!! |

That is tragic.I hope that was not a handmade guitar. On the up side, I am sure it will offer many learning opportunities.  And I could not help but laugh at some of the comments, especially at Dave's "opening up" comment. I hope that you are able to find some humor, too.
