I'm thinkin' insurance will be handy on this one. I think I will get some fragile stickers plastered on it. Not that that will make much difference, it will look like too much fun to someone between here and there! I hope it survives Brock! I packaged it well! |

First thing is to knock off that "little lump"thing taped onto the javelin then the fun will really begin. My guess is it will look more like a used door stop( and as small) by the time it arrives (It would if it were comming to me...ups, fed-x, usps...doesn't matter...they beat the daylights out of every thing that's addressed to "SKG").It's sort of a tradition now. When I get a package arrives that's only half mutilated we figure it must me another new guy. ![]() |

double length purflings. Some of them are veneers. So that is probably why they can't be wrapped. They are just too fragile. |

Dave When next I send wood to you I will add lots of extra padding. You are right, you are the only one that has reported any degree of damage. I put Brocks stuff in wood box using very tight grained fully quartered spruce for its strength and light weight. Hey, isn't that why they are guitar tops? Shane |

how about PVC pipe/conduit as a shipping container? pretty cheap, pretty light, pretty easy, and you'll be paying a weird-shape surcharge anyway. Sleeve one size inside another for extra rigidity. |

I like the PVC idea. Welcome to the forum to beat all forums, Charlie. Where are you located? Ron |
