Man that is just gorgeous in all respects!!!

What kind/brand of tuners are those - they look like a very high quality set.

Kevin also owns one of my Renaissance guitars from whence the cutaway design may have come...

I know nothing about how the guitar plays or sounds, but I remember when he built it. The degree of design and mechanical engineering innovations on this one go far beyond what can be seen in these photos. Really a lot of "outside the box" thinking went into this one. Whether that's good or bad, I don't know, but it sure looks cool!

In fact, if my memory serves me correctly, this was the first time I ever saw someone rout a channel around the lower bout to free it up. This was at least a couple of years before Taylor started doing it, I think.

Then that would invalidate the Taylor patent, right?

Yes, I have pictures of it at work, Ill post them tomorrow. I know Kevin routed a channel all the way around the top about 1" in from the end, and the braves are all routed in an I beam fashion. Kevin also holds a patent on the end block which supports the area that the stings attach with out touching the top. If you look closely you can see a support coming up from under it.

There used to be a website that showed pictures of this guitar but I Googled and couldn't find it. It was the first guitar I saw with a routed channel but I believe his was around the entire top. Maybe that would make the the Taylor patent unique?

No pictures of the bracing pattern, but here's one of his I-beam braces.
