Pole clamps on a slide.

Rather than mounting your pole clamps on the side of the bench, you can use a street 90 and put them on a slide. I have a bolt on the slide that locks it in place.

I know many of you have probably seen or done this, but for the many newer builders like myself, I thought this was a real good idea worth posting.

good idea steve; keeps the guitar vise out of the way. by the by, they are generally referred to a pipe clamps.

Well, I understand the words but what is a street 90? And what type of slide is it mounted on; a drawer slide? How does the locking bolt work? Looks good though!

Very cool, but I'm with Arnt - I don't get how the pipe clamp assembly is connected to the slides.

Hey Steve. Great idea. Did you use staight grain on the sides of that ugly guitar?  I thought I was the only guy that did that. Beautiful binding too! Alan.
