Anyone use the binding guide attachment for the precision router base by Stew-Mac? Does it work well?

I have used it. It works but is very time consuming. When doing the back you have to do alot of special adjusting in the upper bout and shoulder area because of the radius. The process I used was to do the side binding first so that you can make the adustments . IF you don't keep stepping it into the back the binding will look thinner as you hit the upper bout section.
Once that is done you have to be very careful as to the back perfling and you need to do the process again so the perfling and binding match.
after you bind a few guitars you will see why alot of us use binding machines of one sort or another

It is all I have used so I cannot compare with anything else. I have not had any problems with it myself. I am refering to the all brass guide that attaches to the bottom of the Precision Base. I plan to purchase one of the binding machines Blues Creek will soon be offering. Cutting binding/purfling ledges using a Dremmel with this set-up is a little stressful and I am hopeful that going to a Laminate Trimmer and this machine will give me a more consistent ledge with less stress. I now batch build between 3-5 at a time and do each step on all at the same time, so I think the binding maching will be very helpful to me.
