Congrats Hank! I'm glad to hear you're back where you want to be.

I've been trying to get into my shop as much as possible, but my
shoulder lets me know that it's not ready to cooperate after about an hour
depending on what I'm doing.

Lots of swelling and soreness and then it's off to the ice packs. I'm
looking forward to a full day soon, though.

Regards,
Kevin Gallagher/Omega Guitars

Congratulations Hank. I didn't think getting back in the shop full time was an option any more but am glad to hear you'll be back doing what you love.
Gret news, Hank.
Will you also be racing?

Steve
No, the race car has been retired. The "vintage" racing scene just got too serious. The newbies thought there was really something to win, (there isn't) so many drove with the "it's expendable" (the car) mentality. After one too many close calls, I decided the Lotus was more valuable than the racing experience...and I did have 20 great years of racing...so discretion won out over valor.

It was really too bad. Vintage racing had been a gentleman's activity...we raced hard, but knew when to "back off" and let the other guy go. The basic rule was that if you caused damage to a vehicle, you went home for a year. Early on, we had maybe one "vacation" handed out every couple of years. Towards the end of my racing, there were discussions with the race stewards at almost every event...a sad deterioration of the basic premise.

Anyway, that was really OT, but I will have more shop time as a result!

Thanks, Hank.
Gentleman Racing... almost seems like an oxymoron. And I guess it is becoming that from what you say.
Anyway, you can indulge in some gentleman lutherie.

Again, glad for your good news.

Steve

Great news....Glad to hear your back Hank    I'm sure you'll soon have some beauties coming out of your shop that will make me want to hang my spurs.....again. But take your time, no need to embarass the rest of us all at once.
