I bought a big compressor years ago so I go with Dynabrades. Off topic for ROS but my favorite is my Porter Cable 330 Speed Bloc quartersheet finishing sander.

The place where the paper wraps around the foam pads is perfect for the contours of the heel and neck-headstock transition. Also the waist area. Troublesome spots to get rid of scratches. Addam Stark turned me onto it.

They are out of production. I worry about it’s longevity. Not to hijack the topic but anyone have a great fine orbit quarter sheet sander they love?

I’ve had my ETS-125 and Midi vac since the mid-2000’s. Same feedback as Hesh. I’ve always used mine for all sanding operations and use Festool papers. I have them from 60 grit through 800. I literally used a 1000 grit Platin pad today from a box of 10 I bought when I bought the sander.

I hook mine up to my old Nilfisk clean room vacuum. Works real well.

I’ve had a 5 inch and 6 inch Festool sanders for about 20 years now. Along with the Festool 33 collector is great system. I’ve only had to replace the pad a few times. I use disposable bags

I like my Bosch better then my festool; which is 3mm orbit, so finish sanding only. Don't use 5" much. Prefer 150mm Bosch GEX with a hard pad for flat or slightly convex surfaces and 90mm Metabo with a medium soft pad for curved surfaces.

Mine is the CT-22 and I bought it in 2006 so it may not even be listed. Mine is HEPA too.
