I spoke with a double bass expert in Nashville (just up the road from me). He suggested a fix for the wobbly plug that I like. Put some epoxy putty in the hole, wrap plug in saran wrap and seat. Wont take much. Gonna pursue this idea. Then hide glue back and send to the owner for setup.

Much better than that stupid Gorilla glue they used to build it originally!

The reason I consulted the guy in Nashville is because owner taking to him for final setup.
