I've got a very nice stock of premium Honduran Mahogany 3"x4"x 24" I'm an OLF sponser, by the way. The link to my ebay store is at the top of the page. Aaron Hix Guitars (A.Hix Tonewoods)

My favorite mahogany neck blank supplier right now is Hibdon Hardwood. They sell a 1x3 blank with a block for the heel at a very reasonable price. If you like scarf joints for the head and are OK with a separate block for the heel, I think they offer a great deal.

It's nice that Hibdon is matching the blocks to the blanks, but even at the sale price it works out to $23 a board ft. But lutherie wood is special.....

Mahogany is more expensive than other woods; that’s just going to be true. If I can get decent enough quality without it being too expensive, I feel OK about the purchase. I like what I’ve gotten from Hibdon. It is worthwhile to keep your eyes open on eBay, too.

I think you need to look for Premium Mahogany neck billets on the Hibdon site, not Figured (very expensive) or Mid-Grade (pretty far off quarter). I just saw a few Premium billets on there. Not many, but a few.
