Me? I am finishing up a Wenge/Carp 000 in French Polish and beginning two more guitars, an OM and a C. Bruno Parlor.

This is the first time I am working with BRW. After almost 30 years of building guitars I finally get to work with the prized and coveted BRW. These guitars also have torrified red spruce tops.

Took a break from acoustic guitars, Just finished building this Tele. I loved making this, especially the neck, and plan on making more. Used Lindy Fralin pickups.

I've started experimenting with structured sides on a new modern OM-style build. Wenge and Sitka.

The structured sides are a 3 layer laminate of Wenge, Western Red Cedar, and Cherry. Super ridged.

(this is not the final bracing plan—just an initial sketch. The final will have a more narrow angle on the x-brace)

I'll start a thread about this build soon.

Indeed, Dion is who I learned it from—met him at the LaConner Guitar Festival last year. http://laconnerguitarfestival.com/

Dion is a a wonderful builder and a great person.

No photos available at the moment, but I'm quietly testing the application of System Three Silvertip epoxy as a pore filler (and first thin layer of finish) on a mahogany test panel, and General Finishes Enduro Var on a spruce test panel. I'll put the Enduro Var on top of the Silvertip after I have gotten the pore filling down. Just brushing both, no spraying. Positive feelings so far. Different from French polishing, that's for sure.

Nice work all round y'all. I suck at pics too. The pics of the BRW I took in this thread is a good example. I think it's the shop lights though. I was looking at the BRW last night and thinking to myself man that looks Sooo much better then in the pics

Sounds like a bunch of us are using Wenge too. I'm finishing up a 000 now with Wenge and a Carp top. I really like the stuff even though it's kind of a PIA to work with.

De Rocher is that Imbuia by chance?

Sollod can you describe the rosette in that maple guitar?

I just use my phone for photos but I do have lots of light in my shop. I keep my shop pretty clean cause it's easier to work in, but you can always clean off the bench and do your photos, just don't show the rest of the shop[GRINNING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Most of my time is being taken up in classes. I have two neck building classes coming up, some guitar building classes, and several follow-up classes for reinforcing the binding/end wedge process. My The neck building is students from previous guitar building classes (in the building class we use a pre-cut neck to save time).

Been playing with my new CNC for a few weeks, trying to get everything set up, mostly. I got a whole list of jigs to update and new jigs to make. This should be a fun summer.
