It’s coming up on the second Tuesday of the month again: time for another SLuG get-together.

At the last meeting, J De Rocher did a presentation on using ‘G Thang’ for guitar design.
https://www.liutaiomottola.com/formulae/gthang.htm The program was a lot deeper than I expected! Good stuff!

If you are interested in attending the next meeting, stop by https://seattleluthiers.org to get details

Hope to see you there, M

I'm going to be at the mothership next week. Do you have to be a member to attend?

No need to be a member, in fact showing up makes you a member. Right now membership means being on our mailing list.

I'll be there, let the plate tuning secrets be revealed, and welcome Brad!

I was sorry to miss Jay's presentation last month as I was out of town. I hope I can catch up.

New username, same Pat Mac

I'm still neck deep in a massive work project, but I'm hoping to be there as well.

Brad - Don't let Michael fool you. These things go on like raves.

Anyone heading north after the meeting?

I usually park in Everett and take the Sounder train into the office in Pioneer Square, wondering if anyone is headed back toward Lynnwood/Mukilteo after the SLuG meeting - I can get back to Everett station easily from there.

I'm sure we can figure something out. I can run you up if no one else is headed that way.

Daniel - The transit centers in Lynnwood or Mountlake Terrace aren't too far from my place and I'd be happy to drop you at either spot. Would that work for you? I hope so, as it would give me extra motivation to stop working and start having fun. [:Y:]

Bringing one of my Carbon Fiber U-Rods that just came out of the mold, for show and tell...

Thanks for letting an Ohio boy crash the SLuG party. Was great to meet you all and put faces to names. Everyone’s instruments were great!

Great to meet you in person Brad.

Such a heated discussion about Tap Tones vs Deflection tests that I was about to pounce on Jay or Michael - good thing Pat was holding me back!

Thanks again to John for hosting, I had a wonderful time.

That was close... I could tell you were on the edge!!

In the end I’ve decided to test every top using the Gore method especially since John shared his excellent spreadsheet and gave me a one on one tutorial of how it worked.

It’s always a pleasure hangin out with folks who at least seem somewhat interested in what you are talking about.

Brad, it was great to meet you and hope we can all get together again next time you are in town.

Best, M

Thanks all for coming. I should not be posting online as I just went through a surgery procedure for a hernia, and the drugs are still working. But I wanted to say we really had a good group of talented builders all willing to share. I loved that Brad (bcombs510) had the opportunity to come.

John

I will have to make it out one of these times. Getting to Seattle can be a chore, especially in the middle of the week. Sounds like you guys had fun!

Michael, was that case that you brought on Tuesday one of those Access cases from Kingston?
