Hey crew,

I'm trying to figure out what to bring food wise. My understanding is that there will be a ham of some sort. Maybe some bread from Pane d'Amore and some Port Townsend creamery cheeses would be good?

I do know which instrument I'm bringing...

Cheers, M

I'm going but haven't decided what to bring yet. I would be more than willing to sample your suggested items.

I'm pretty sure curry works with bread and cheese...

Steve,

Start one! We have one here in little ol' Spokane, smaller than Raleigh. Ten years ago we started meeting monthly in the local Woodcraft one of two clubs that meet there, and are still going. Nothing formal, no dues. I run a craigslist ad every now and then, which often brings in new folks. A Google Groups group helps with the communication.

I always thought that NC had a great group of guitar makers. Jay Lichty teaches in his shop maybe you would be able tap in to that community. We have a group of members that were students of Rick Davis of Running Dog Guitars. Rick encouraged his students to join, including the current president. Also it helped having Michael Gurian's involvement in starting the group.
