I've done the last 20 guitars with these things and really like them. I use stainless on everything I build and these cut effortlessly and are showing very little signs of wear. Those look nice. They look well made for cutting harder wire. I'm still working with the typical end cutting pliers and grind the face so they cut flush. I'm using the softer nickel alloy wire so my 50 cent flea market finds work well enough. If I ever switch to stainless those nippers look like the way to go. |

I tried a pair of those several years ago and the edge dented badly the first time I cut stainless. I was rather upset since they were so easy to use that I really wanted them to work. If yours are holding up they must have reworked their hardening process and it might be time to try them again. |

I did that too the first time I used them. I realized it was a technique problem on my part. I started with the Jaws to far open and was pushing against the a FB in my desire to get flush. Having the jaws almost closed around the fret and letting the tool do the work made the difference for me. |
