Looking to order a few sets of rosewood soon....I found some attractive prices at Allenguitar.com. Has anyone here ordered from them?

Any recommendations?

Yes, Randy is a well established builder and reputable supplier.
Thumbs up!

For the “recommendations” request, I posted a few days ago about getting some good deals on Indian Rosewood from Exotic Wood Zone.

As I said in that post, our OLF sponsors are good sources, too. Check out the ones that carry Indian Rosewood and you might be pleasantly surprised by their prices on the “good quality but not flashy appearance” back and side sets, which is what I like to look for.

I bought a big stack of EIR from Allen Guitars a few years ago during a big sale. No complaints.

I've dealt with Allen guitars and was more than satisfied.

+1 for Allen. I received one set of Rosewood that revealed a stain on it after I sanded it and he sent out a new one right away.

I have over 50 sets.
all over 10 years old.
Some from Martin that are 19" wide (the backs) 24" long.
Sides are perfect straight grain old forest wood.
Backs are forest wood but the grain curves a bit at one end.

Mike
