This is a 12 fret acoustic guitar made for my son's high school graduation.

I needed to get it done quickly and thought about saving time. I did not want to compromise on quality. Then I remembered Andy Birko a sponsor here makes some nice necks. So I bought one. And a nice bridge.
I built this in a week.
I left my Luthier ego tucked in and based in the look on Sean's face it is Okay.

Wow. Very impressive. How did you do the finishing so quick?

Nitro. Well maybe a little longer. But I buffed it before I usually do.

Looks great.

Just curious, when you say quick... How quick?

I can build a guitar in a week but it takes 3 months to finish it :D

No. If you look hard you will see the classical shape. Torres.

I built a 00 like this and it sounds different.

Well. I did buff in day 3 or 4 after finishing. I didn't pore fill the body. Brazilian with pores. So sink back is not noticeable. I wouldn't recommend it. Start earlier and plan better than I.

That is so cool! I love the body shape. And the 12 fret neck gives you extra points as well. I'm sure he'll treasure it for a long time.

Nice to see a little different bracing too. Not just another Martin...

Thanks guys. I do my own thing when I can get away with it. I once made a braceless guitar. It sounded good but the string height changed with seasons like a double bass.

Very cool - it looks like a small Gibson Roy Smeck.
