Well... I liked the original rosette a lot. You got a least 1 like!

I see absolutely nothing wrong with the very first asymmetric rosette. Having the thick pearl 'line' on the outer edge and thinner purfling type lines on the inside can draw the eye towards the soundhole, giving movement. Of course if all you've ever seen are symmetrical rosettes then it may look a little odd. There are numerous example of asymmetry in guitar design that look perfectly fine to people. That's probably because everyone is accustomed to seeing things such as Fender headstocks and guitar bodies (cutaways? Strats, LP's) that don't even pretend to symmetry. We do thick banding sitting next to thin lines of purfling, asymmetric. No one thinks that as poor design. Personally I'd stay with your first rosette example. It's not bad design by any stretch of the imagination. If anything you've added interest and complexity.
