Off topic for the builder forum, but a chance to hear a couple Parlor builds. I had the great honor of accompanying my son playing Fleetwood Mac at his guitar recital this past weekend.

That is fun. One of my favorite songs as well. The guitars look and sound great.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Nice guitars! Parlors rule. Now teach your son "Never goin' back again" for fingerpicking.
