This is what I call my Dying Crapshooter model:

This thing sounds like an orchestra…

24.9 inch scale tuned to full pitch
Ladder braced
Satin lacquer finish

Adirondack red spruce top (Aaron Hix)

Flamed Birch back and sides (CarlBarney)
Two piece birch neck with walnut center stripe
Celluloid nitrate tortoise head veneer ,binding and heel cap (Axiom inc. Bill James)
Ebony fretboard and bridge.

Very nice, and a big thumbs up on the tortoise shell trim. Is there a story behind that name?

Your guitars never disappoint, Brad! The tort headstock overlay and binding look sweet against the birch and Adirondack!

Bill James is the "go to" guy for Tortoise and Ivoroid celluloid.
Also makes the best mandolin tailpiece available.
