I'm trying to track down soft-sided guitar cases. Not a gig bag, but a structured case that zips up. I used one for a 12-fret dread that I made, and the customer and I both loved it.

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

Steve

Hey Steve. I have a number of clients with newish Norman guitars who come to the shop with these http://www.normanguitars.com/triccase.html it seems they’re made by/for Godin and used for many of their brands. I’ve been really impressed with them and they’ll take a full-size dread.

And here’s an even better URL https://www.godinguitars.com/tric.htm it seems they are indeed made here in Canada by Godin. $109 from Amazon.ca

When those "Tric" cases first came out I was working at a music store. The sales rep demoed them by putting the most expensive Seagull guitar he had inside and threw it across the room. Impressive, and lightweight too.

Sadly, their mid-size is just a little too small for an OM/000.

I presume you’re concerned about lower bout width. Before you give up on that, I notice that the sizing chart lists 3 models, but the comparison chart 4 part numbers/models for the TRIC-branded case. I think it’s possible (probable) that they have a suitable fit for an OM body, but you can clarify this by writing info@godinguitars.com. Michel Bélanger is very helpful and usually responds to questions within 48 hours.

Check the specs on a Seagull Concert Hall against your OM size. I think you’ll find TRIC case 041411 is the one you want.
