So, how wide would you make a 12 string bridge? With 2 sets of pins, the separation they would need, plus the extra tension, what are we looking at from front to back of the bridge? |

I just did a 1x6 with six pins. No rabbet. I don't know if there's any hard data on this type of thing. I was pretty confident with my joint and taking all the other factors into account went for it. So far so good! |

My Stella clone pyramid bridge is 1 x 6-1/4 with no pins (tailpiece). My OM belly bridge is 1-28/32 x 6-1/4 with twelve pins. The one set of plans (that are sort of a combination Guild and Taylor jumbo) look to be 1-27/32 x 6-13/16 with 12 pins. I could go measure my D12-28 but I'll bet its close to the OM. I've also got a 12 string bridge that I picked up somewhere out in the shop - I think its Guild profile - I can measure that one too. |

I made my pyramid 12's at about 6-1/2 to 6-3/4 x 1-3/8 to 1-1/2". |
