This is Gurian purfling attached with CA. The ca held fine! I suspect I got it too hot. I was bending at 300, but it briefly hit 380 (the blanket anyway)

Am I right in thinking it was the Heat?

Also, I did use tape. However only three places and I did not tape the middle of the waist or the top of the upper bout, the two places where it delaminated.

I'm thinking I will still be able to use them if I just get them locked in there nice and tight. Thoughts?

I had some bwb from LMI delaminate just with bending it for insertion so I bought from Gurian. No problem with some but others delaminated the same way.

I called Gurian and it turned out I ordered seconds. There is a code in the product description that identifies them as seconds and they are cheaper.

They replaced them with top quality and I have had no problems. Might want to look at the product code and give them a call.

As far as bending I tape the binding together with only small gaps between the pieces of tape and have had no issues. I go to 300. I think more tape would definitely help.

The purling in the second photo can probably be reattached, but that first one with multiple buckling is toast.

Well, binding can be a real, drag with a delaminated purflings. 380 is too much heat IMO.

I would spritz the buckled bits with water and try to flatten with the clothes iron. It's amazing what that can do to restore order.
