Nice Hans! That is a great spot to photograph instruments.

Thanks Terry, I never did like the "Elvis on velvet look"...

Really lovely.

Are (were) your bridges all carved by hand? Pyramid bridges that are just the slightest asymmetrical make me crazy. Often hand done ones make me crazy. Yours always look amazing. Have you ever posted pics of your process here? I'll search it out if so. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Another beaut Hans. Hope I get a chance to see it before it sells. Got any tire kickers?

Same goes with slotted headstocks. It's amazing the small differences in symmetry the eye can see on such things. I'm not sure I've ever pulled one off perfectly yet.

Thanks folks.
All my bridges were carved by hand. Never could see a hand built instrument with machined parts. That would be something like Olson and others that have jigged and tooled themselves up to the point where all they do is assemble, just like factories. I always wanted my instruments to be more individual than that. I never built in batches. As in the past, I am sure some folks will extract parts of what I have said and use it for their own purpose. It's pretty obvious to me that what I have done in my life is not well understood by most here...
I'm done, good luck and enjoy yourselves while you can.

It looks like Haans' pictures have been removed. It is a shame, I just pulled up this thread for some inspiration. :(
