Just wondered how the recovery was going with this...
Any word?

Thanks for asking. Unfortunately, after what appeared to be a good start to the healing process about half the laceration decided to pop back open over Thanksgiving. I'm now in line for surgery to debride the wound and close everything back up. All in all, this is proving to be a real drag.

Be careful out there,

So sorry George. I recently cut myself when taking a new router bit out of the package. Got four stitches and I thought of you, because I had just seen your injury. A couple of weeks of no activity. Fortunately for me, its healed up quite nicely. Hang in there...

It's been a little over a month. How's it going?

Brad,
Thank you for asking. The surgery went fine and the incision has healed up nicely. I started physical therapy over the holidays and will continue with that for at least the next several weeks. The therapy is proving to be quite challenging, but it is clearly helping and I remain hopeful that I'll get through this with my hand functioning close to "normal." It's never going to be like it was before, but I should be okay. All things considered, I'm a lucky guy.

George, you will be surprised at the healing powers of the body...till you get old.
Been 1-1/2 years since I broke my ankle and it's still getting better. Couple years down the line and I would bet you will be very close to normal. Play guitar!

Wow. Hard to look at. But a good reminder. Heal up soon.
