The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

I've been in pics on the OLF before but usually I'm the one taking the pics and not in them. You're right it has been a while though.

Here's an old but good one taken at Lance's house in his shop. This one is about eleven years old.... ;). I had more hair back then..... [headinwall] :o :D but I can still see my own feet......
