http://www.stewmac.com/Hardware_and_Parts/Tuning_Machines/Ukulele_Tuning_Machines/Grover_Ukulele_Tuning_Machines.html I bought 3 sets a long time ago to get the quantity discount, but then discovered Pegheds and always use them instead, so I'd be happy to sell just 6 or all 12 of them. Shipping should be reasonably cheap if I take them out of the packaging. There's also a short post version of the Gotoh Stealth tuners, but I don't know anywhere you can buy them. The super short top-mounted style are easy to find, but not strong enough for guitar strings. |

I don't think so, except for the stealth tuners. Shortening them isn't too difficult a job though. |

Burton, I don't have the tools for such a job. Would you possibly be able to help me out? The problem is I accidentally made a headstock too thin. I thought it would be ok with open tuners, but they stick up too far past the faceplate and there isn't enough break angle... |

That can be a good way to inconspicuously add some extra thickness. |

Not really "open back" in the traditional sense. Click on the link where it says "check out the dimensions here" for the spec download. Be sure to call them to specifically order the shaft you need. https://store.hipshotproducts.com/cart. ... tail&p=245 You could probably get the closed back in a shorter shaft as well. |

Thanks, I did come across those, but my screw holes have already been drilled... |

Nice, well-built tuners. If you buy three sets it's enough for two guitars, in case you have another oops. The post height is adjustable. |
