Today, a guy I never met, knocked on my door asking if my son would do odd yard jobs. There were 6-7 guitar bodies laying on dining room table. He asked about it. Later that day, he came back and bought a finished model for close to asking price. Wow. Still trying to figure out how that happened! But I'm thankful it did. Mike |

Next week all the OLF members will be sitting projects on the dining table and actually answering the door when the Jehovas Witness and insurance guy come around. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

And shortly after that we'll all be robbed. |

A more aggressive marketing approach...these are repairs we shot Friday hanging on the side porch, but we have hung 4-5 new bodies and necks along the front of the wraparound when the weather was nice...avoids the initial out-gas being done inside and the need to wear masks for hours on end. Probably does qualify as an attractive nuisance, though, if it attracts solicitors. Almost no traffic, though, Mr. Pile, but even so your point is well taken - the side porch, which is difficult to see from the street, is preferred. |

Yagotta love how that works out. So did your son get a finders fee? ![]() |

Why would anybody want to rob half built, unfinished acoustic bodies? Unless, of course, they were an unscrupulous luthier! My son gets "pre" finders fees every week in the form of gas for truck. 99.9% of those have not yielded a guitar sale. ![]() |

Woodie, I'd die for a set of guitars like that. My wife would die for a porch like that! |

Not exactly a crime inspiring setting. Don't get me wrong, looks good to me. Lol |

Great use for a dining room table (mine tends to be a tool storage area for house projects) I hope you have some extra leaves for the table in case your business expands ![]() |

There's room for at least 10 more. But, there is the wife approval factor. I have another room, just not as easy access. Low solar penetration and perfect humidity level. |
