Here is the latest Luthier Tips du Jour video - In this video I talk about how to use the articulated clamp from LMI. This video as well as all my other videos are available via my website, http://www.obrienguitars.com/videos , LMI's website or on youtube. |

I have a couple of these and they work well enough. Use them for long reaches and when you can't use a wire clamp. My only complaint is the lack of clamping force at full extention. I've found it has enough force to clamp a cleat but not enough to hold a crack in alignment to dry after cleaning. Sometimes there isn't room in the sound hole to add another supplemental clamp as Robbie demonstrates in the video. ![]() Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |

I'd like to add that sometimes when situation calls for its simply faster to use a brace jack and clamp from the exterior of the body. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |
