Okay, here's another one... I've been working on this one for a while. You may remember that I posted when I chipped out some bubinga during routing the binding channels. Well, I managed to fix it so you can hardly notice (I can hardly notice and that makes me feel better). It is not a commission, it's just yet another guitar I've made.... Here is the finished product. Pictures were taken with my ipad.

Bubinga back and sides, sitka top, adi and carp spruce bracing, laminated mahogany, maple, EIR neck, ebony fingerboard, bridge, and headplate, figured black walnut back strap, spalted tamerind and black palm end grain rosette, maple binding with zebra purling on the top and back, spalted tamerind end wedge, evo fret wire, gotoh 510 tuners, EM 6000 finish, (I don't think I left anything out). Oh yeah, features a sound port in the upper bout.

It already sounds good. I'm surpised how stable it is already. Seems like usually they have to settle in and are hard to keep in tune at first. After a a few minutes it settled down and stayed in tune. ...and I haven't glued down the fretboard extension yet. The extension is nicely seated. Do I even need to glue it down? (Mortice snd tenon bolt-on).

Very nice detail. I like that purfling a lot, rosette looks fantastic and that bubunga is pretty special too.

Thanks for the kind words. The OLF has been a great resource and I enjoy the comradery. It feels great to get positive feedback. ...maybe I'll even sell one, one of these days. I thought at some point it would be easier to let go, but, dang it, I get too attached... Each one has been different.

Nice guitar and nice save! IIRC, that was a nasty little mishap with the router.

Casey - you remember that nasty router mishap... I saved it by putting in the purfling in the back. Also, I was able to cut out a small chip to place in the chipped out place. See the before and after shots below. Mike - see the photo below for whats next. And Don, Yes, I've had more time lately.

Not to beat this to death and at the risk of seeming like I'm begging for complements... I posted addition photos on my website, it you're interested. I always like looking at guitar photos...
