Don't even know what it's called to search for it. Might be a CNC specialized bit too. Basically, it has a very long shank with replaceable carbide cutters at the very end. Whereas a normal down or up shear bit would have the flutes going up and down its length, this is solid with no flutes for the purpose of end milling only. The lack of flutes makes it more stable as it's basically one long barrel with cutters attached at the very end... |

Interesting. Can't help, but wondering a) what it's used for b) how does it clear cuttings. Good luck with the hunt. |

Check out Dapra. I use one of their insert end mills for all my necks. I think it was about $150 for the holder but inserts are only $20. Way cheaper than solid end mills and they do a great job! |
