i know brazilian luthier luciano borges gives courses on caipira building and also sells some related stuff - you could try contacting him. if you want any info on the portuguese violas (the ancestor of the caipira) i can try to dig out stuff from a friend of mine that builds them (some pics: https://www.facebook.com/oficina.orland ... 836&type=3 and https://www.facebook.com/oficina.orland ... 836&type=3 ) good luck! |
