Does anyone know if the abnd on the Woodmaster is thin enough to be used on a 14" bandsaw? Anyone doing so? |

The band on the Woodmaster CT 1" is .035", so pretty heavy. Have you looked at a 1/2" Trimaster? Band is .025" on the 1/2" x 3 tpi blade, and apparently we ran these on 14" Delta and Rikon saws with long term success resawing anigre, cocobolo, and other denser and more abrasive woods. |

I use them on a 16" resaw without problems, but most any other 0.035" steel blade will eventually fatigue. With that in mind, I would be dubious about using one on a 14" saw. Blade fatigue and inadequate tensioning are the concerns. In addition to the 1/2" Trimaster, you may consider a 3/4" steel blade with 3 TPI. I used these Timber Wolf blades for many years, and although they do not perform like carbide on dense hardwoods, they are less than 1/4 the cost. http://timberwolfblades.com/proddetail.php?prod=3403AS |

I've had one break on a 16" saw. Likely due to fatigue and it didn't have all that many hours. Unfortunately 1" is as small as they come. I would consider a Trimaster. |
