I have been using shock cord to clamp my bindings in and using CA. It works pretty well but the shock cord is slippery. What happens when you get CA on surgical tubing? Does it start to come apart like the bands in shock cord do in time?

I'm still using old bicycle tubes that have been cut into 1" strips. Filament tape in the waist underneath. My supply of old bicycle tubes seems never ending.
