I've been searching for the thread that mentioned a CA glue company that made their products specifically for guitar finish repair with no luck. It was in a thread about a month or so ago. Does anybody remember the company? ( I don't think I'm talking about Satellite.) Thanks. Bill |

Meant to ask this back then... what makes it more suitable for finish repair? |

The most important property for me is that, along with their accelerator, it dries clear with no hazing or bubbling. I use their products in repair work. They have earned my business for sure. Andy |

Got a package waiting for me at the post office, we'll see how it does. The non fume/less toxic aspect is my interest due to increasing sensitivity to CA. |

OLF Sponsor GluBoost has provided me with another bottle of Fill n Finish and accelerator, I will be setting up a new drawing soon. |

This stuff is great. I have Asthma, and most CA glues and accelerators will practically put me in the hospital. I'll suffer severe Asthma attacks and shortness of breath for several days. This stuff does not bother me at all. That said, I do have a friend who reacts to it, and has not had problems with other CA's. Not sure why. He uses it though because it stays clear. |

I was telling Rick last week that I used some GB Thin to glue down some old tiles in my bosses office, they were lifting on the corner. It worked like NAILS! Great great stuff! |

We've been using Glueboost for over a year now and like it a great deal. Prior to a non-foaming accelerator being available we had to use our breath and time to cure the glue so that it would dry clear. Glueboost saves us time, provides excellent, predictable, and safe results and that helps us make money and provide real value to our clients. Highly recommended! |

Does it have the same issues with nitro finishes as other CA's do? |

Yes, I don't know how they do it, but their accelerator is the absolute best. I use ca for bindings and don't normally use accelerator there, but had a tough area on the waist on the last one, and a quick shot of accelerator while holding the binding firmly and all was good! Before gluboost I didn't want to use accelerator on bindings for fear of bubbling or whiting the glue. Mike |

Is it just the accelerator, or is it the combination that prevents the whiting and bubbling? In other words, if I use GB accelerator with CA from another source, will it still avoid bubbles and whiting? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

The accelerator will work with other super glues but, IME, is not as effective, i.e. it is slower. I don't recall ever seeing it turn anything white. |

I like it for pore filling. I recently finished a solid body with nothing but "Fill n Finish". I think I could finish a guitar in a day if I could physically stay with it that long. |

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk I used it with Bob Smith extra thin glue on my last binding job, and it worked perfectly. I'll probably buy my glue from gluboost in the future though; I like to support a company that makes a good product tweaked for luthiers, Mike |

Freeow! Definitely no improvement on the sensitization front for me... |

Frankly, I don't notice much smell or physical reaction to the GluBoost CA itself. The accelerator, however, smells pretty nasty. What is it, anyway? I like the product, however, definitely has a place in my bag of tricks. |
