Here a little thing I cobbled together after a thing they had at Larrivee. Should have done it 15 years ago, but oh well. Basically, it just holds a laminate trimmer keyed into the truss rod slot for indexing. It has a 3/8" ball nose bit. There is a little bit of wiggle in it intentionally, as the fat end is 3/8" exactly, so the wiggle room let you get a slightly wider than 3/8 pocket. Leaves a nice clean cut, though I expect this would be better served with a downshear spiral, but for now.., ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Thanks. Also turns two steps into one. I used to gouge the neck end out with chisels, and then route the body with a template and collar. This condenses it into one faster step, and it looks better, not that anyone sees there. |
